Through the Windowby GeeeComment by K3Master: Johnny looked out his window every day, and wondered what would happen were he to walk through those trees. The very act was forbidden. The stories enough to curdle the blood, yet Johnny wondered.
Then one day Johnny threw open the window, and in defiance of all he knew, jumped down and walked calmly through the trees.
The wind blew ominously through the silent land. |

Solitaryby GeeeComment by Tygerr: Something about this shot draws me into it. There are a few things that could be improved (the lens flare is a bit distracting, and that tree seems a bit too centred). But I still like the image. |

Flower Fairyby GeeeComment by timfythetoo: Cute little girl but I must admit that the result achieved isnt what I was looking for in this challenge. A couple of blown highlights on her dress just doesnt cut it. |

Solitaryby GeeeComment by glad2badad: He-he. Another Horse(s) outtake? :-) Horses are quite popular in this month's Free Study.
The compositional decision is either a like/don't like scenario. The horse is looking directly out of the frame (being that it's on the edge). Some will like the intrique factor ("what's he looking at?"), others will not like the fact that the viewer is immediately directed outside the frame rather than being directed within the photo.
Just some observations. :-) BTW - I nearly missed the bg fencing. Is that part of the titling choice?
Good luck in the challenge. |

Flower Fairyby GeeeComment by raish: The only thing(s) overexposed is the overblown highlights on the dress. It looks as though a lot of that has been brought about by screwing up the contrast in post processing. That and the sharpening has spoiled the skin tones and wiped out any ethereal effect you might have had there. |

Solitaryby GeeeComment by daryn: I feel the horse is a little lost against the similiar colouted background. I am also unsure if the horse or the tree is the subject. |
