Needle and Threadby enashComment by GrayGhost: Good idea and arrangement, just missing the thread through the needle, and maybe less central would be better. |

Needle and Threadby enashComment by ergo: I like the composition a lot, and the dof is very nice. The piece of thread disappearing into the left lower corner makes the shot for me. |

Comfort After a Bad Dream: Daddy's little girlby enashComment by LalliSig: Personally I don´t think a completely black sihouette this much without shape was the way to go here, if the title wasn´t there I would just be looking at a black blob that didn´t tell me anything. What I am getting at is that the shape should look more like a father hugging a daughter, again, without the title I wouldn´t know what I was looking at, it could be a melted candle, some kind of wood carving or just about anything. Anywaym, I really like the backround, very nicely lit and the wignetting looks good and the mood of the shot is pretty good so I gave it an above average rating. (6) |

Comfort After a Bad Dream: Daddy's little girlby enashComment by Skip: without the title, i wouldn't find any connection to the challenge. as an image, it is ok. i like the colors and i like the idea, but find the execution weak. the position of the subjects just doesn't tell me much. i could guess this is a father holding his daughter, being lit by a night-light, but there's just not enough there. maybe if her feet were showing, as if he were cradling her? yes, titles are part of the image, but the better images can stand on their own. |
