Interestingly enough, it looks somewhat as if Van Gogh had a try at it.
Certainly the sky give that effect. (I'd have to think about the rest)

If you took it further you could almost get an impressionist feeling to this shot. I think this shot is a great candidate for that type of processing. I like the straight on approach to framing for this one.

This does have an interesting effect, kind of like what you spilled on it had a caustic or corrosive effect to the print's inks.

Oh yea, I think this one may be in the worst shape of any of the previous ones. It makes for an interesting photo though! It looks like it has had electricity recently though...

This one has an interesting shape..that small little off shoot on the left side looks open underneath? Probably where they stored the tractors and such.

Wow, those cedars are huge! They look like they were pruned at one time.. Is that an old car in the barn? I bet you would love to get in there and take some pictures! I really like this one...

Very nice...the design may be different, but it looks pretty old...but in good shape. I really like the shape of this barn. Nice composition too.

For my personal taste, the overlays seems to be competing with each other a bit too much here. As others have suggested, maybe play with masking out bits here and there.

I do like the composition. So simple and balanced. Really catches your eye. I agree with you on the grain - I think it kind of dulls the contrast. It would be nice to see these benches pop from the background. So now that you've done it once, get back and do it again the way you envision it!
