Spike.jpgby jaxterComment by jaxter: LOL, that was about as facing front as he got too. We are fortunate to have quite a few deer that roam around the neighborhood. Lots of forested areas and grass for them to feed on, half dead though it is since we need some rain. I saw a fawn yesterday that could not have been more than a month old... no camera on me of course. I was kind of surprised to see this spike. Most of the population that I see seems to be female. With fawns roaming about though, there has to be at least one big buck. I'll catch him sooner or later. ;o)

It's the memories you leave behind...by jaxterComment by jaxter: Vantage point was a pier. I had my 75-300mm pretty much full open and the range was somewhere between 30-50 yards. I go up there quite frequently with the family. I'll get a good shot of the pier next time I'm out and get it in my portfolio. |
