Beautiful piece of driftwood. Nicely done, not overly sharpened, which seems hard to do with this type of photo.

Great subject, good sharpness. Lacks a bit of contrast in my opnion, which I guess you would have delibrately done to save the clouds from being washed out. But a good one!

LOL, that was about as facing front as he got too. We are fortunate to have quite a few deer that roam around the neighborhood. Lots of forested areas and grass for them to feed on, half dead though it is since we need some rain. I saw a fawn yesterday that could not have been more than a month old... no camera on me of course. I was kind of surprised to see this spike. Most of the population that I see seems to be female. With fawns roaming about though, there has to be at least one big buck. I'll catch him sooner or later. ;o)

edit for grammar

Cool shot! Nice when they just walk in front of the camera eh? I too have the same problem of tending to take pictures where the back-part of the animal is in front. :p

Vantage point was a pier. I had my 75-300mm pretty much full open and the range was somewhere between 30-50 yards. I go up there quite frequently with the family. I'll get a good shot of the pier next time I'm out and get it in my portfolio.

Lovely image. I suspect someone will have this framed as a keep sake. If you know the subjects! Congrats
