Interesting juxtaposition, but other than that, the background is out of focus and the red truck is very distracting. The reflection in the window is too dark. It's also leaning about 5 degrees off of level, makes me feel like I'm falling over.

To be honest with you, this photo just doesn't jump out and grab my interest. The inclusion of the reflection in the door is an added touch and a good idea. However the car and post ouside are distracting my attention from the door. There is also a kind of halo around the closed door giving me the impression that there is a ghost standing in front of it. I would personally have gone for a different composition, including the whole door frame and maybe waiting till that car had gone. Also a shooting position more to the right to keep that pole out of the image, and last of all I wouldn't have included the wall on the left in your photo.

Nice reflection of the alter in the door window, very cool. I don't really see the State connection since it's just apartments and businesses across the street but the mix of the two is unique and different. But I think if you had turned around and shot the alter alone it would have gone over much better. A 4

I can only guess that the building in the background is some sort of government office. It's too bad that it does not come across more plainly. Also, other than the small reflection (but nice job catching it in the extreme light difference) it is hard to tell. I like what you were going for.

It looks like the reflection in the door's glass is the interior of a church. I'm thinking that this is almost too much of an "overall shot" of the situation. The whole bottom half of the image doesn't really add anything...if anything it takes away from the top half of the image. The door on the left, the truck, the sidewalk the dark bottom of the door, none of these things are really all that interesting (to me).

In my opinion, a person could with a horizontal orientation and move closer to the door. That way you could get the buildings in the background as well as the reflection of the church interior in the shot without all the extraneous stuff in the bottom of the image.

The shot also looks like it's a bit tilted to the left (see the door and the buildings).

I hope this helps,

Interesting interpretation. It would sure be nice to be closer to that church in the window--and the outside. I like the tones here, and the contrast between sacred and non-sacred space.

Nice reflection- but the maroon ford ranger blows it for me. Also, sharpen up the focus or make it a lot blurrier. I like the title and the creativity, but the altar looks like a terrifically beautiful shot righ behind you.

the use of reflection is intriguing. the picture is a bit tilted to the left. Wish you had included the floor of the building giving the viewer a way to visually traverse between inside and out.

The whole picture should be the birch tree--no background. This picture would have had a 10 if you'd eliminated the background.
