This one would have been exceptional if you, for example, told the kid in green shirt with a gree baloon to stand facing you and stand still for a second. That way, you would have gotten something - motion and enjoyment in the background, and crisp (at least somewhat) standing kid not participating. Just an idea and an attempt to offer constuctive criticism and a reason why I scored this with 3.

I think I understand what you are trying to do here. But it doesn't work for me. It seems like the camera was moved during the exposure. For this to really give the impression of movement I would expect that the static things (walls, floors, picture frames, etc.) to be sharp and in focus.

a pretty, soft focus flower shot. the dof works nicely. not visually exciting for me in its composition, though--more of a standard flower shot, to my eye. what could be done differently to make this particular flower shot stand out from others?
