Choosing to light only half of his face (IMO) was an excellent choice here. The background is perfect and his expression says so many things (to me). Not sure if this matters, but love the lines/stripes in his shirt. Nice choice and adds to the photo.

This is so wonderfully cool. I hate using that word, but in this case it's exactly the right word because the photograph reminds me of the 'counter-art' art of the late 1960's, and it was very cool. It may have been the early 1970's ΓΆ€“ I know I was there, but I don't remember it too clearly. Anyway, the deadpan ordinariness of this picture is ... extraordinary! Which is the point of course. 8.

Would it be politically incorrect to say those are some hairy legs for ballet shoes?! :-D

I like the bg choice as the diagonal lines in the brick work well. The white point could be a bit closer to true white IMO. Good luck.
