This was one of my favorite images from the competition. I gave it a 9.

The perspective effect is wonderful on its own, but it also carries the emotional impact as well of those graves multiplying the further back you go. And the sepia coloring intensifies the sense of loss.

Edited to clarify that both the perspective and the "carrying back the emotion" were good.
