i really like this one, and how the color offsets the black and white of the furniture without taking your attention from it

This is very creative. I really like the composition and concept. Shame you did not get the chance to enter due to internet connection failure - how frustrating! Anyway, the blue background is good - it is a cool color and helps to re-enforce the idea and imagery of being cold or cold. However I wonder if a red background would have improved visual impact by allowing the white tones of the ice heart to pop off a deep red.

What a bummer you weren't able to get this one into the Ice challenge. It's very creative, and I imagine it would have done well.

This is absolutely elegant... the curves of the wood are delightful, the lighting is just right, and the use of selective desat works great here. 10.

Wow. This is lovely, Becky. I love the theme. The background is a great color to go with the theme as well. Where'd you get a heart shaped ice cube?? :)

I really like the theme here. It is well constructed and thought out. However, there are several area where this does not come off well in practice. I don't like the lighting on the ice. The front lighting on the image does not show off a lot of detail in the icy heart. Trying some additional shots with the lighting and different angles to the camera would likely be worthwhile. Also, this image is crying out to be cropped in a very different way - the negative space at the top is almost lost space. I would recommend either cropping it square right around the heart or making the image much smaller in the scene and have substantially more negative space.

Just my two cents!

i like the setup here, very neutral with just enough splash of color and lines from the plant. The hightlights on the arms seem a bit bright though...
