Comment by zummer:
sorry, the white area on left-top corner is just too distracting. my eyes can't rest on that picture... only if the white were black too.
maybe it is just me.. anyway the orange is good find :) good luck

Took me a while to realise what this is, although I'm still wondering if it's a reflector or an orange/amber stop light. It's a great close-up, and an interesting abstract design as well. Very clear and sharp, and the noise between the black and white is actually kinda intriguing. I'm not a huge fan of abstract, but I like this.

You've turned a mundane traffic light into a brilliant abstract. It almost looks like a view through a kaleidoscope, very nice.

Reminds me of the Abstract Expressionists of the 50̢۪s and 60̢۪s. Great feeling to the paint and composition. Way back in the 70̢۪s I used to paint an abstract painting and then paint a realist one of it and sometimes the room it was in or the street I placed it in. It gives me the feeling of those paintings.

i thought maybe it was taken from the top with the sun shining down. or while he was inside a submarine/aquarium.

According to the comments I suppose, that the majority of voters didn't realise, that my shot is related to the underwater world not only by the title. As you can read in my photo details, this is a real underwater shot, taken during a dive in a quarry. So it is no "fish tank", no "blue filter" and no "great strategy to get an otherwise overexposed shot to be very intriguing" as some of the commentators guessed.
The noise in this shot is because of the mostly bad visibility conditions (approx. 4-5 metres in this shot) in german lakes - the water is seldom very clear.

Thanks for your comments!
