Nice detail, but it seems like contrast is lacking a bit - a lot of the photo is the same shade of grey and with more contrast it would really be a stunner, I think.

I believe this would appeal to me more with a bit of color back in it. Maybe not full color but a bit more saturation.

I would have liked to see this a wee bit more cropped so that the blue stuff in the upper right corner is out of the shot (it distracts) 6

great idea for your image. I would suggest a different point of view - one that has a less cluttered background if possible. Perhaps if you were closer to the deck looking up at the wheel.
