Certainly the scene is very beautiful. You combined the two photos together seemlessly - this looks like one photo. Good job. Colors are wonderful and vibrant. The only thing that bothers me is the scene looks a tad too busy for us to drink in the beauty of the Everglades. The culprit here is the billowy clouds/ or pop-corn clouds as they are sometimes called. The clouds above and the reflection of the clouds below in the water make this scene too busy. Just a plain blue sky would not do either - it would just be too plain. Perhaps, waiting for a time of day or a day when the clouds are the wispy cirrus clouds could give the scene a distinct and interesting character that is visually appealing without being overly busy or too simple.

WOW! Super shot ... but I think it would be MUCH more dynamic if cropped half way between his head and the left edge and half way between the board and the bottom edge. Try it and see how you like it?
