I'm being really nitpicky here, but I feel like I have to give constructive criticism or else my comments are useless.

Just a few things - the shadow on the bottom-right distracts a bit, the highlights are blown just left of that shadow, and a background may have made the image a little more interesting.

I like the sharpness and the color a lot.

That's one scrawny looking Magpie. The background is really nice and would have done well in the Bokeh challenge.

However, the orange flowers are really distracting and it's not a 'nice' photo to look at.

ETA: just re-read the above and I'd like to add that not being 'nice' is not a bad thing, especially as you're respresenting some kind of imminent doom.
