I think that the idea here is great and the execution is strong, but the background is a little too much. Perhaps a plainer background could have been used or this one could have been blurred a little.

the ring around the pumpkin and difference in fingers/arms is a bit distracting for me...i would have enjoyed seeing ghostly fingers grabbing the pumpkin. the picture has an interesting collage feel, which i find strangely appealing as i look at it more!

Interesting. The ourline of the pumpkin where the hands are looks almost cut out somehow - give it an odd look. Your photo has almost a drawing or painting quality to it.
