Danceby joynimComment by wetland: beautiful portrait...and very nice model. Seems that the image needs to be straightened a tiny bit? |

Joy-Day-1-Oct-challenge.jpgby joynimComment by muckpond: hey, i think this is a really good start. i think the composition is too centered and would be more dramatic with her further left. you can also do some post-processing on the eyes and teeth to make them brighter.
a good way to get a natural pose is to not have her look 90 degrees to one side. have her turn her body about a 1/4 turn away from you and then look at the camera. then her neck won't be so twisty (which, to me, is the most unnatural looking part). :) |

Nim-Day-1-Oct-challenge.jpgby joynimComment by suemack: She is so cute...... and growing up fast! It's way easier to combine images if you make sure to use the same background (hair is not nice to try and isolate), take them at the same time of day so the light is similar. Step back a bit so you have more room to work and fit them both into the photo.
Weather up here has been odd too, totally unpredictable. Gone from blue skies to torrential rain. |

Nim-Day-1-Oct-challenge.jpgby joynimComment by hajeka: I think both photos looks very nice. Perhaps you could have used the portrait format. Putting them together depends on the software you use. I normally make a new document and drag both photos to it. |

Silver Fernby joynimComment by MelonMusketeer: Since the contest is over, you may want to re edit this image to just the ball and square building. Then clone out the bit of light in the sky by the ball and reduce the whole to being just the two geometric forms. The ball, even by itself is a treat.
Great find and capture. |
