I think maybe no one replied to your question about how to combine 2 pictures into 1 because there are so many variables, that it would be hard to give simple instructions. If you PM me and tell me what you want your final result to look like, maybe I can help.

Again, I like this as well. I think cropping a little more off the left and not cropping so much off the right might help the composition of this picture. I guess kind of the same crop as the other picture would also be good for this one. I commend you for getting your daughters to cooperate in such foul weather, what great models they are.

Don't be too hard on yourself. This is a good shot especially with it being straight out of camera. My straight out of camera shots never look this good. I like how you had your daughter look over her shoulder, it kind of gives it a candid feel.
