Hey Kevin ... you are definitely bumping up as the challenges go. I really like the colors and the feel of this photo, but as a few have mentioned below, it is a little cluttered. Just very busy, a lot to look at all at once. I like the gritty feel of what you have, that it's been used, and you didn't go out and buy new stuff just for this photo. I gave you a 6. Don't worry about those low numbers that people voted, because even the ribbon winners get some 1s or 2s. :)

7 - Met the Challenge (just - I see only the gloves and electricity cord as clear 'tools' (although admittedly I have no idea what those black 'switches' are & jury is out on the cable ties (semantics)), the others are material in my opinion). I like this concept and that you have taken advantage of the bright colors used in this field/trade. Criticism; For me this would be a better photograph if there was more sharpness on the colored objects and I am not sure if the lighting is indoor, but seems a touch 'yellow'. The composition is good and aside from a different angle (mainly closer) there might not be much more you can do to make the subject more 'unique'.

I really like the gloves in this one, but I also feel that it could have occupied a bit more of the frame, putting more emphasis on them. I do understand your concept, but. the gloves are the element in this frame with most interest. The yellow wires on the right is pretty exciting too, but you could have shown a bit less of what on the bottim right. In short, I would have prefered a different composition, but i still find this image very strong in the challenge.

Very nice collection of electrition stuff. Good composition. It just seems like it could use a bump in lighting/contrast to help the colors pop out a little better. Also, there is a slight yellow hue that could be removed. You can tell from the white twisties and cable.
