Comment by Germaine:
I really love this picture. Wish I'd taken it! My only suggestion would be to crop the upper right so that you don't have the white space at the top of the step. That would give you a solid diagonal into the corner. But that's just me... Congratulations on a great shot.

Gotta love a goofy baby pic. He looks like a young Winston Churchill. I can see like all little boys, he is making goofy sounds out of his mouth...probably car sounds. LOL

Thanks, Judy

Thanks. I cleaned up the NI, and had to raise the brightness / sat to compensate.

Shame you have to lose such a wonderful subject for photography to development... Smile, and keep having fun!

I agree with your comments, and can understand why you would think that. I have struggled with that portion. The grey sky area was due to a hell of a storm rolling in on me, and I shot it and "got out of Dodge." I tried to crop it out, but due to the angle I felt I'd just leave it alone. I may try to PS it out and see what becomes of it. Thanks for your comments.

Here's an attempt at correcting the sky by desaturating that area only

My favorite color on earth - barn red. And this is the real thing!! I think I might like to see it from a bit of a distance but I do appreciate the detail of the boards and the brush growing up.

Looooove this. The softness of the background gives it a sense of infinity. I like the squareness of the boat under the round arches of the bridge. The red adds just a touch is flash to it, yet the overall scene is soothing and peaceful. With the perspective, the boat appears almost toylike. WONDERFUL job.
