Comment by Zigomar:
Bad thing is that the church is not the focal point of this shot. It's too hard to notice it from the first sight.

The pic is a little hard to comprehend and unfortunately, the title doesn't help

From the Critique Club :

Hello Goran ,

Thanks for giving all those informations in the Photographer's Comments box !
Your country seems beautiful and it has been a pleasure to visit your web site , it's full of stunning photos.
About the settings of your camera I have noticed that Contrast,Saturation,Sharpness are set high , you maybe could have more power to play with those values during the edition.

Does your photo meet the challenge ? I think it does well but maybe others were thinking about newspapers.

Mediterranean sea has a magical and clear lighting , I like your photo very much , the composition is good , the colors are nice ,maybe the blue tones are a bit over saturated (on the middle of the photo , left hand , less in the right hand).
It has a classic appealling but maybe have not a wow factor.

Please free feel to email me about this critique ,

Mambe

Image is very dark, although I do like the bits of green and yellow lights throughout. I don't think the church is prominent enough in the photo

For me, just too far away, with nothing going on in the foreground to justify the long view.

wow. intersting. think it would have made a better night shot than holy place since the "holy place" is such a small part of the overall impact of this photo though. 8

I want to dislike this and dismiss it, but I just can't. It's really so awful that it's good, and I'm sure that the movie it's promoting would be every bit as wonderful, too. One of those made-in-a-weekend art house classics, probably with Samuel L Jackson working for free in a supporting role. I'd see it, for sure. 6.
