Concentrationby gocComment by mpreslar: OK Composition, though with the direction the beast is facing, it would do better on the right hand side of the frame. I would have framed it with the animal at the bottom right thirds point. That would also eliminate some of the out-of-focus grass at the front of the image, which is slightly distracting. In particular the change from blur to sharp is too far from the animal. If it were closer, it would not distract. I would either open it up and go for a real shallow DOF on just the animal, with the grass almost ALL creamy with bokeh, or stop it down and get the entire frame sharp and full of small details in the grass. (In case you can't tell, I cannot determine what kind of deer/antelope/grazing plains animal this is... :) ) |

Watching my 6by gocComment by ShutterPug: ahhh, a cute little meerkat! Love the DOF. Tack sharp focus really brings out the nice details of both the subject and the wood |

Concentrationby gocComment by posthumous: This reminds me Rousseau's dreams. Frightening and irresistible at the same time. Nature's brute beauty, rolled from a lush carpet. Oscar Wilde reincarnated as a dear. I just love that texture, and the varying greens. 10 |

Concentrationby gocComment by levyj413: Wow. Is that the "velvet" I've read about, that surrounds new antlers?
The deer(?) is great to look at; I would've been more engrossed with a tighter crop on the left, though, and more space to the right. I don't mean to zoom fully in on the animal, but rather to move it a little back toward the center. If you have the pixels, of course. |
