Reyes Fenceby rasdubComment by joezl: I like the idea, the composition and the effect created by the fisheye. I think the fence would benefit from more texture. I don;t know how you de-saturated it but you might want to try alternative techniques to convert to B&W (channel mixer or using multiple desaturation layers) to see if you can get a better B&W effect. I also like to experiment with a duotone or a mild tint to see whether it looks better than harsh B&W.
Good luck |

Reyes Fenceby rasdubComment by cools98: Those fisheye lenses always leave such a weird look. I'd agree with lowlight in that it needs more contrast. It is definitely a "desaturated" photo. Composition is very interesting. |

Reyes Fenceby rasdubComment by LowLght: i like the composition. i think you need more contrast, but i'm always partial to b&w with very crisp whites and blacks too. good luck in the contest!!! |

Reyes Fenceby rasdubComment by hdogg4u: Makes me feel like a dog traped unable to get out or look over the fence. I dont know if thats something your in the lines of but thats what I get the feeling of looking at it. The black and white is good has some good overall tones but little dodge and burn might enhance the individual bars or wood posts and give them some depth or 3 dimensional feel. Just a thought. Overall a good image. Keep up the good work and good luck with the contest. |

Liquid Earthby rasdubComment by UNCLEBRO: It is an interesting shot.
It looks like you could dive right off of the fence into the earth "pool" |

Liquid Earthby rasdubComment by rasdub: Yeah, 10.5 fisheye (Nikkor). Thanks SOOOO much for taking the time to look at some of my shots. It really feels good to have other people looking at your work and offer their thoughts. This site is really the first time I have started sharing my photography with others.
