Beneath the dirtby bryantbusComment by violinist123: I'm just not sure what to make of this. I actually held off on voting on it after first checking it out last night. The dirt looks like it was an attempt at making an interesting pattern on the skin, but the processing really makes it look like pudding smeared on her. Normally I'm all for smeared pudding on naked women, don't get me wrong, but it's just not very appealing here. I think maybe there's actually too much clean skin showing to present this as some hidden gem 'beneath the dirt'. Honestly I just can't get my head around the shot. Don't care for the processing, though I can see it being an attempt to make the whole image 'dirty' in appearance. I just get the impression you had vision for this shot and it fell apart in execution. Then again, maybe you think it's the cat's meow and there are 20 other comments agreeing with you. Good luck! |

Beneath the dirtby bryantbusComment by DrAchoo: The application of dirt is interesting, but ultimately I don't quite get it. I think it's the scalloped nature of the edges. 5 |

Ivory cat T2.jpgby bryantbusComment by JuliBoc: I think this in an improvement over the one you entered in LOW, even though those whiskers are in front of the eye and the cat is looking off to the left. The fur looks less matted, the highlights are perfect, and the whole ear is included. Really beautiful shot. |

Winterby bryantbusComment by JuliBoc: I agree with you, I like the Fall leaves with the ice. Too bad the camera didn't pick up any sparkling bokeh in that white background. It would have been a knockout. Maybe sun is what was called for here, for the benefit of both the leaves and the background. But you can't control that. Nice job working with what you had. |
