I like it, it's interesting and "abstracky". However, the seams on the cones are distracting. Next time, I would turn the cones just a bit to "hide" the seams... Otherwise, nice pic

many thanks - I recently re-shot this one from the same location with my new camera/lens and did some gradients - made it more of an angry sunset look with reds - and took everyones advise and cloned out the lamp post (actually, I was a tad intimidated by all of the DPC rules at the time and thought I couldnt do that! - oh well).

Personal opinion - I love the signs - very well done. But the fact that I see people but they're too dark is distracting. I might have cropped a lot of the bottom off and made it a thin landscape shot of just the building-scape.

This has a rather Escher stairs feel to it that is very unique. It suffers from a rather soft focus, but the colors, shadows and odd angle help to overcome that feeling. From an artistsic standpoint, it is a terrific concept and one that is not often seen. A little more focus would have given this a true Escher stairs impression and would have placed well.
