Without the context afforded by the challenge I'd dismiss this as a bad photo; I maintain that the composition could stand some improvement, but aside from the hot spots on the hand I can't identify anything in particular at the moment. Nice job of letting the viewer fill in the missing details.

This is a good photo, as in the lighting and the focus and composition, but it is not a very good subject for a nude challenge. I think it would have done better if it was a different body part. Good luck.

Nice tone, but soft. This image might benefit from a very deep DOF, with as much detail as possible brought out by the conversion to b&w.

Very interesting choice of angle. It's a bit odd to me the angle. I don't like the lighting here, I don't know how to fix it, but I think what looks like the on camera flash is the right thing here. Good Luck.

For this one shot, having the subject "pose" may have helped have sharper focus on the hand, and perhaps the rest of the body. The power lines, while normally not bothersome to me, are very distracting.

When taken within the context given with teh title, it almost seems that since the powerlines can mean communication, he is not really alone.
