Tate, sometimes we just have to shoot to suit ourselves. This is a fine image and is worthy of space in a gallery. Maybe the garbage can did you in? Who's to know. Who cares! I love the compostion and wish you well with all that snow ... with more to come.

Not a subject that would usually excite me alot, but something about it works visually. Not quite sure why, but it held my gaze and I actually find it quite appealing.

Nothing wrong with the b&w conversion, but I think this might of been better left in color. Color is much more festive, and maybe more appropriate for this photo. The technicals are all spot on.
