backlight, rule of thirds, bokehby tateComment by tate: I cheated. My wife held the leaf just above the frame. I focused from there. I had nice baclight but I did a couple of test shot to get the light I liked. Thanks for the kind words. =)

gravityby tateComment by kivgaen: When I first saw this image, I wanted to see what the photo looked like the "right" side up... It's not natural this way, his hair would be hanging down, and so it creates this odd effect for the mind -- what's really going on here??
Once I rotated your image the right-side around, I realized that it was a much better image from the original orientation. It makes me wonder why you rotated the image that way in the first place... |
