Natures Balanceby kimberComment by Germaine: IMHO you went overboard with the grain/noise and got colored speckles which distract from a nice shot of autumn leaves and running water. You also need an apostrophe in "Nature's". I didn't mark down for the grammar. 8) |

Just a weedby kimberComment by Jammur: Good effort. Nice comp. DOF is problem, soft focus in foreground is just not desirable effect. Also I think your choice of border hurts in this case. |

Just a weedby kimberComment by LucidLotus: Interesting image, it is very dynamic. I'm having to stretch to make it meet challenge, simply because though it is lighter than some things, it is still fairly dark in comparison to the white background - the wisher things have a very brown tinge in much of the image. I don't know if this is an effect of the lighting used or not as there do appear to be some lighter colored ones. The focus is a bit problematic for me because my eyes are being drawn to the foremost wisher and it is very fuzzy, whereas some of the puffs in the clump further back have better defined features. I like your composition, it looks good tucked in the corner and your border is simple and doesn't hamper the image at all. Lighting looks good. I gave a 5. |

Just a weedby kimberComment by Jutilda: I like the idea of the dandelion. But it's lacking because it doesn't have tack sharp focus. Maybe bring the camera back, or use a macro mode. |

Natures Balanceby kimberComment by JunieMoon: I have seen many images which relied on artifacts to depict grain. I like the fact that you did not grain the water on this one. You used selective sharpening, but I still don't care for the artifact look. |

Natures Balanceby kimberComment by mpemberton: The overall effect is nice, although the grain does not ad as much as the rest of the process that gave this picture its earthy tonality. The only change I would make is t ensure that the grain was the same colour as its surrounding environment. That is the problem of digital grain that is not present in film grain. |

Natures Balanceby kimberComment by AzCKelly: Interesting picture. Love the creek shot but the noise really distracts from the picture and distorts the colors. |
