Great shot, but doesn't look candid (I have a hard time believing it wasn't staged).

This has quite a retro feel to it. I really like the eye contact, the high contrast, high noise black and white treatment, the strength of shape given to it by the edge of the cap and your crop.

Would look better if there were some texture in the white shirt, is too over exposured for my opinion, a bit too much contrast I guess. But what do I know! I like everything else about this picture, it's a 8

Lovely image, really interesting and a good storyteller. I usually hate verticals not vertical but I think it has enough here to work.

Great expression! I like the crop as well. The conversion is a little contrasty for my taste, but it works. I like the added grain too. I think the eyes look unnaturally dodged. The butterfly in the hat draws my eye a bit away from her face, so I might have cropped down a bit further, but that's just a nitpick.

I've been looking at your images of people for quite a while and can't decide if your a master at snapping or editing. I truly think its a bit of both. I notice it more when you photograph your children; all seem as if the viewer is in a dreamlike state. For me, the best photographers allow you to see through their eyes, if only for a moment, a glimpse of their reality. You acheive that extremely well. This particular image is beautiful. Perfectly composed, lit, and edited.
