Awesome photograph! I really love the long exposure effect on the water and clouds, my two favourite subjects by far. Clarity is just so appealing here, as are the specular lights, soft pastel feel to the colour, and the wonderful angle you've achieved for this composition over the water. Well done, a very satisfying image.

I love the rich colour and interesting contrasts in this photograph, plus you've captured a spectacular sunset. The shadow figures create a nice emotive feeling to this, and their solitude on the beach is very appealing.

Another great addition to your front page. I like the silhouettes and the brilliant sunset. I can also relate to this picture, since I have kids who also never want to leave the beach. Very well done.

Nice addition to your front page! Great job on the selective desat. This works really well as an abstract. One thing that could have made this better IMO is if the colored piece of the orange was perfectly cut.

Lion statue ar nice but compozition feels too stiff. I would actually try to find another object instead of umbrella.

You're on a roll - two new additions to your top row in one week, and good scores on both of them! This shot is one of the benefits of living in Hawaii, no doubt. Lovely colors in the sunset and nice positioning to get the rays from the clouds. I like how you have the horizon very nearly centered, yet the other elements of the picture balance that out nicely. The use of silhouettes over preserving considerable detail in the people serves this picture very well. Nice job!

At first glance, I didn't realize the outer segments were orange sections as well. The desaturation is well done, though I almost think I'd like to see the outer segments partially desaturated - maybe from where they touch the single orange segment have them desaturated as you go out toward the edge of the picture, as though the single segment is sucking the color from the others. I thought it worked well as an abstract.

Nice.

I would have experimented with making the blacks a little blacker, and maybe altering the angle of the brolly to bring it closer to the bottom left corner. and maybe going quater-face with the lion.

But overall, it works well.

I scored this 5. Part of that score was the selective desaturation, which is a bit "on the nose" for me in this particular picture. Other than that, I like the setup, and the tension created by the arcing orange lifting into the other segments. A nice abstract example.
