this is a lovely image, but i'm afraid it's not really a high contrast image. high contrast has a limited tonal range of high and low tones, with very few intermediate tones. the ultimate high contrast is pure black and white, no greys. the more greys or intermediate tones, the less high contrast it is.

a tripod and a smaller aperture would have sharpened this all the way through and made it a better image...I am notb sure where the focus point is
