Great photo, the tones, the processing and the crop all work so well with his expression. The title is annoying, it's too obvious and a feels superficial for such a strong emotive photo.

I didn't need the title to get the full poignance of the image. Remarkable portrait. The lower lip breaks the circle of the hat brim, symbolizing whatever has broken.

this is a lovely image, but i'm afraid it's not really a high contrast image. high contrast has a limited tonal range of high and low tones, with very few intermediate tones. the ultimate high contrast is pure black and white, no greys. the more greys or intermediate tones, the less high contrast it is.
