very much in two minds about this. the tongue-in-cheek nature of the title does not really fit with the manner in which the shot is presented; the whole getting shot for sleeping with a sister thing is more of a stereotypical humourous thing, and as a result a photo more mockingly cartoony and decidedly less menacing in nature might be better fitting.

technically i like the use of the blur to bring the end of the gun into sharp focus, thereby maximising the fitting the challenge potential. it does suffer from an overwhelming sense of grey though - levels, brightness and contrast adjustments might help. and pure oddness of the background (mounted basketballs with horns?) is a detracting element...

Not really a lot of control necessarily. Set up the camera on a tripod, focused the camera, and set to manual focus. Turned out all lights, remote triggered my camera and left the shutter between 5 and 10 seconds, and tried a bunch of shots. I took a small LED penlight (A photon microlight), and starting behind the apple, spiralled my way up. LOTS of FUN :)
