The-dark-lion.jpgby ZemmComment by Jutilda: Beautiful. Only thing I'd do is clone out that hint of green up above the head. Looks like it's growing out of the top. LOL
His serene expression and pose is very unusual and calming. |

crazy catby ZemmComment by macrothing: Good potential here. Not sure if even 'flipped', it might also make another 'odd' shot - not necessarily better (usually 'best' to stay with 'right way up' in my opinion), but just for a 'different' type of picture. |

komoto dragonby ZemmComment by macrothing: This has a good sharp perspective/angle. If the focus were sharper, the colors a bit stronger (and of course the tip of the tail not cut off, (but sometimes you have no choice in these things), would make this an even better shot in my opinion. Also, some more space 'above' the dragon - and it is Komodo - not komoto. Here are some links if you are interested to learn more about them; Komodo National Park - About Komodo Dragons and Komodo Dragons and Their Islands. edit:wording Message edited by author 2005-12-03 15:48:01. |

Lighthouse pathby ZemmComment by Stagolee: You met the challenge quite well here with some very good leading lines and it is very well composed.
It may be a little dark but I feel this adds a certain charm to the image as there is plenty of detail in the dark areas and this image should have scored higher. Keep up the good work. |

The lionby ZemmComment by SandyP: Oh Zemm!!!! This is gorgeous!!! This looks like a professional studio shot! I can't get over the talent you have!!!!!!!
I personally think the score should be more like the commenters felt it should be. . .but you can't complain when you have a picture this good!!!!
Keep up the good work. I am enjoying watching your progress so much!!

The lionby ZemmComment by Riponlady: a good shot but not the best lion shot here. a little soft, overblown near paws. Lovely detail on face and I like the green in the background |

crazy catby ZemmComment by SandyP: Tee Hee. . . .I love that cat! He is multi-tasking, isn't he? Lounging around in all his glory, stretching, enjoying the earth. . .and giving himself (sorry if it's a she) a bath at the same time. Very cool photo!!!!

komoto dragonby ZemmComment by SandyP: Zemm, what a well-composed picture! If this is a zoo outtake, I can't wait to see what you entered :) I love the coloring on the dragon. Good job! |

The lionby ZemmComment by jemison: very nice shot. I like the dark background to set off the lioness's face. there seems to be a bit of a haze over the entire image as if shot through glass. maybe a kickup of contrast or sat or fiddling with levels/curves might have helped. I really like the shot though...kicking up |
