Oh that's fun! I love the dof and the colors. Have you tried using a polarizer on shots like this? I never realized how much a polarizer helped with highlights on leaves. (You probably already know about it, but it shocked the heck out of me the first time. I always used it for skies. :)

Probably lots of things wrong with it. As I said first attempt in years, so it can only get better :)

One thing BIG I noticed just today, was that the 60D has an A as the default in the ISO, so even though I was shooting on Manual, it was changing the ISO on me every time, so teh ISO on this is just way out of wack. It's also behind glass, and was in a dark building with no flash.

It is missing the detail, I am not sure why. Maybe post a link to the original to check it out. Cute thing :)

Could be just for me..
Kind of unusual to not see a dividing wall between the studio and reception area.

More lareger prints are easier to see on the walls then those that appear to be like thumbnail size. just my opinion, tryig to be helpful.

ADDED: For the best tips, visit other highly successful studios that shoot the type of pictures you do. I checked out Kent Smith Photography last year. He shoots H.S. Seniors and built up amazing outdoor/indoor studio near Columbus-OH. I took pictures of it.

Comment by Covert_Oddity:
There is too much processing done here. The shot has completely lost any semblance of a natural look and has become almost cartoon / watercolour like. The retouching has left some obvious marks across the face and has made the material look almost plastic in some areas.

Ignoring the processing, your lighting and exposure are good. The composition is a little centered, and while I get what you are doing with all the material, I think it's too much and is taking over the shot.
