Spring In Washington D.C.by The EskimoComment by CapeSail: Nice natural framing. I'm not sure if you used a Polarizer Filter (CP), it doesn't look like it, playing with this will give you a bluer sky and would have made the Jefferson Memorial Pop out more, also give the water a less grey look. See "The Repose of a Serbian Miner, 1894" photo in this challenge, I'm pretty sure they used the CP filter.
Very nice photo though. |

Spring In Washington D.C.by The EskimoComment by raish: Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning.
A bit chocolate box, but well balanced and composed. 7 |

"Hello There"by The EskimoComment by glad2badad: Great clarity and focus on this. The white balance is pretty good, although the white has a slight cool (bluish) cast to it. I'm wondering if you used flash on this - at first glance it would appear to be yes (glint in eye, slight glare on lower beak), but the shutter speed is throwing me off. Would have thought the shutter speed to be higher than 1/60 - reduced for fill flash in low light situation perhaps? :-)
Compositionally I would have trimmed a bit off the left to try and bring the eye more to a ROT point. Just a thought.
I do have to say I'm a tad jealous of the location! Hawaii, eh? Nice. Been there twice, last time in the last 80's.
I'm also a tad embarrassed to just now notice you've been tossing some challenge entries into the mix recently - I should know what my 'Fav' photographers are up to! :P
Hope all is well with you. Take care. |
