fionaJOhnby SimmsComment by mycelium: Very fine work! The lighting is impeccable. If I can pull off lighting like this someday, I will be very happy with myself. |

Sujoby SimmsComment by Quintus: A dark and menacing sky is not a good omen for a wedding. I'm just saying. |

Sujoby SimmsComment by Cory: What a neat image! I love this, and although I think the image is somewhat DNMC as it seems to be an artificially light single expsoure pseudo HDR, without detail in the highlights of the dress.
However, with that said, I think this is superb, and absolutely deserving of the 7 I am voting it.. (darn close to an 8 though)... |

JennyDylanby SimmsComment by kirbic: I really like it; I think it is very well executed, and it works. I do agree that it is not a "mass appeal" shot, however. I also agree with previous commenters regarding the strength of the vignette, and the slight distraction of the bright "comet" at upper left. |

JennyDylanby SimmsComment by mattmac: I really like the pose, the composition and the flare - but what is the streaking comet coming in from the upper left corner? Now that I've seen it, my eye can't stop looking at it! But that's just me being nit-picky...I love the image. |

JennyDylanby SimmsComment by Rompy: I thinks it's awesome. I love me some sun flare. If I had one critique, it would be that much as I love the flare, I prefer it without the bottom arc...like if you were to crop under her elbow. (I don't mean REALLY crop it there as that would be silly...) I like the first bit of flare, just not the second more defined arc on the bottom. Know what I mean? I LOVE the pose.
Truly, I don't think this is all too stylized for clients nowadays. At least not in the USA. If you look at wedding photogs now, they are trying to add this look on purpose with actions (which I despise). Everything's got a crazy green/yellow-y hue. I much prefer the natural way :-)
Well done! |

JennyDylanby SimmsComment by MacDonald: Although I understand the precision that went into the shot and how well it is executed, as a photographer I think it is great and would be proud of it - as a consumer I would not want it for my album.
