Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Zadore...

I like this image quite a bit and I am also familiar with the song :) I believe you have done an excellent job of capturing the theme of that song with this photo. Your subject is just another pawn in the ongoing game. Maybe he feels left out with no individualism about him. I can tell that he wants to break free from the conformity and he may indeed be angry about it.

The low level of saturation here is also nice, but I personally think the strength could be even greater if it was fully desaturated. It would add even more 'darkness' to the theme of your song title. It *is* a dark song, after all :)

The hooded jacket is a nice touch here. It adds an element of darkness to the image that even further supports your song title choice. This photo is very strong compositionally. Subjectively, I think you may be singing to a small audience around here :)

Very nice work...

I don't see the reason for having the person in the photo, other than to make it so this wasn't JUST a photo of a wall. I supose it would be a very boring photo without something else in it. The angle and framing/cropping are good. I like how he is sitting off to the right side. The focus and clarity are ok as well. I am assuming that the shadow and hood pulled over the face is intentional. I think it works well. (and I don't say that often about shadows on faces). Good luck in the challenge.

I think you conveyed the idea of the song well, but the overall lack of color, to me, weakens the shot. (I like bright, colorful shots) 6 Swash

I enjoyed this one during the challenge. I like the grain. Almost a Pointillist effect.
I think the cropping would have worked better higher from the bottom of the picture, or lower showing the mouth. The nose leads away from the eyes, which are the highlight of the picture as it is.

The left side of the frame goes a bit dark. The eye is lost in shadow at the left edge. Contrast is a smidge high, the ridge and tip of the nose are starting to burn out.

Focus is good, depth of field is good. The mode̢۪s eyes really make this piece, which is why I would vote for a tighter crop. Lot of expression there. I like the angle to the face from the camera. I voted a 7 in the challenge, and on reflection it still holds up.
