Eccentricby ShutterPugComment by tate: I wanted to use my do too but she wouldn't cooperate. This is a great image - It seems a little low-res over-cropped or something - but it is just great. 8

Eccentricby ShutterPugComment by Jutilda: HEE HEE I like this alot. It's very clever and imaginative. Not a red car of pile of credit cards or bills. I like the angle of the glass and the pug licking her lips. I wish her eye were spot on focused, but overall, this is a great composition. Definitely A+ for imagination. |

Eccentricby ShutterPugComment by CLarson557: I bet I know whose pug this is!! :-) Very good shot and I love the idea!! I really like the expression although it looks like he/she is fixated on the olive. LOL Lighting is nice and I like the background. |

SNIPERby ShutterPugComment by ShutterPug: Okay - now that the challenge is over, here's a reply to some of the comments.
This is an AR-15 - I realize it has no scope and is not an actual sniper rifle, but it seemed to have more impact than the 7mm with a scope that I could have used.
As for the 40 Mag ("banana clip") being illegal....it is only illegal to sell them. Those folks who owned one before the ban were allowed to keep them.
The odd contrast was done purposefully to give it less of a backyard snapshot look - not due to any blown out highlights. The trees actually looked fine. |

Room to Growby ShutterPugComment by muur88: i would have liked to see more light on the right side of the image. your left side is very clear and i can read all the titles, but i can't tell what kind of camera you have. also maybe the problem for that is your focused on the book and you have a shallow depth of field, perhaps setting back would have given you greater dof or else closing your aperture and using a tripod. a final note...as i bet your tired of me by now...your choice of border doesn't seem to do its job. i choose borders that accentuate my subject. in this case, silver would have been an easy choice to bring more attention and tighten the image around the cameras and the photoshop binding. |
