This is a good textural shot that meets the Challenge nicely. For added interest, you might consider introducing a different shape into the composition.

I can't tell if it's blue, if it's a creek or if it's ice... You have no real focal points or reference points to help determine what you are seeing. IMHO a color version of this may be better.
