Susanby undieyatchComment by hughletheren: Gentle sympathetic portrait. I like the soft focus, although I note some of her hair is in focus, which takes one's eye away from the subject. The lighting is well controlled, low contrast but still providing detail in the shadows |

Susanby undieyatchComment by jpochard: In my opinion...too close, too dark, and too out of focus. I think you really need somehow to see the eyes better. |

Susanby undieyatchComment by rickhd13: the b/w looks good here...nice tight crop...she looks at ease and comfortable...a little soft on the focus but it works well...good job |

Susanby undieyatchComment by KevinRiggs: Seems like this has a very shallow DOF and that the focus is based off the rim of the glasses over the subject's left eye. This leaves the eyes slightly mushy and not crisply distinct. You could use the polygon tool in PS to select around the left eye as that side of the face is lit and then perform a selective curves to brighten up that eye a litlte. |

Sand Creek - thawby undieyatchComment by Kavey: I like the way that the frame is split into three horizontal "stripes" - the largest white one, the vertically lined top one and the centre plain one. The dark spot on the right within the white band adds a focal point - I think I'd crop out the one at the far left to focus more on the one on the right. |

Sand Creek - thawby undieyatchComment by blueswolf58: A good textured abstract. Doesn't quite say "silence" for me, athough I appreciate the effort to capture something less generic than most others. :) Add some colors gradations and filters in photoshop could make for a very cool artsy piece indeed. |

Sand Creek - thawby undieyatchComment by steventhewriter: Cool photo, silence in nature. It's like a fight over land, with a clear dividing line down the middle. The only thing I would have liked would be a shore or something similar, to add perspective. |

Sand Creek - thawby undieyatchComment by admart01: (say that three times fast!) ;)
I like the mood you've created - the reflecting trees are exceptional. I'd like to see more of them and less of whatever's in the foreground (minor point - the two breaks in the light colored stuff detract from the symetry you've captured) Good selection in b&w |
