car topby undieyatchComment by bledford: What can I say, I like it. The extreme cropping keeps out of view everything that is not important to showing us the subject. Still, the subject itself is not interesting enough to keep me looking for too long. It's so close to being abstract that the letters almost lose meaning, but the flirtation with that lost context keeps the image together. |

Flora Gartenby undieyatchComment by scalvert: A very nice photo, with good composition and crisp focus. As a photographer, you should note that Flora Garten is a vertical format, and that it could be difficult to read type over an image with this much contrast. I do like the shot, though. I'll bet you could get a stunning cover photo with a really tight crop of the main flower that fills the entire page. |
