dried susansby undieyatchComment by WaysOfSeeing: A beautiful image and interesting and original subject. I perhaps would have liked to have seen a little space to the right of the image, somehow it feels a little too central for my own tastes. Nice tones and good use of light. One of my faves for this challenge out of a small prefered handful. Good luck! |

Young Chiefby undieyatchComment by pogopog: Insert donut and I'd see some authority here. Does the shape of his head suggest years of enjoying donuts? Authority = donuts? Plump faced cops just don't give me much citizen comfort. I do like the inclusion of the U.S. flag, supurb depth of field. I think the lighting is rather flat for a male "authority" figure. I also like the fact the subject is looking directly into the lens. |

Young Chiefby undieyatchComment by Skip: his expression looks like he means business. focus and lighting are fine. i think a stronger title, like "Do You Really Want to Question Me?" might have helped. if you look at this long enough, you really do start to feel that the image has captured the essence of authority; i just hope that the voters will stop long enough to look. good luck. |
