Lovely. It's unusual that there aren't many blue flowers. GREAT DOF.

This is really lovely! The blue tones and the center star of the flower really make this shot. I would have given a higher vote for this image.

(BTW, thanks for stopping by to comment on my entry).

Well done - liked by the voters (and me - gave it an 8 and, if I had gotten around to comment on any shots would have recieved a "one of my favorites this challenge")

You have mastered, in both the large and the small, the delicate interplay of muted tones - they always support and enhance the composition while never overpowering it.

I really like this one, I'm surprised it didn't do better. Absolutely love the darkened colors and I guess desaturation(?). Great shot

Ah, the consummate "artist's self portrait." The stare right through the viewer- the almost "ready to speak" look. What can we really learn from this? you cropped part of yourself out, indicating a need for privacy and a not disclosing your full self, and youincluded a good deal of water, depth and unknown, mystery; your look is as if you were facing the water and you turned to face the camera reluctantly.

Even if you didn't mean any of this intentionally, it was all there, at least it could be found there. great shot as a result.
