This is one of those images where I need to look a few times to gauge my reaction - not necessarily a bad thing. There are a lot of patterns going on, and it feels almost abstract. Interesting. I keep wanting to look.

great idea, would have been cool if you had of been able to incorporate some more shadow from the branches to tie it in the lower half of the image. but then i guess the tree may loose its overwhelming effect.

you'll see me leave comments about this on many pics. My preference would be to see more of a black and white contrast. On my screen, the background has a slight sepia/yellowish tinge, as does the flower. I'd like to see more white on the flower and more black on the background. I am sure this will sound stupid to you and everyone else because on their computers it probably looks fine. I think you did an awesome job capturing the details on the flower petals - which is amazing since you probably did this is sunlight. The sharp focus on the center of the flower is awesome!
