Thank you for the comment! It's funny how people read these things - my opinion was precisely the opposite of yours - I didn't like the bokeh too much but liked the soft focus. On the other hand, thinking about your comment made me wonder if the photo would indeed look better with a very clear focus, since the bokeh already lends the "soft" appearance. Thanks, once again.
