AV-8Bby aboutimageComment by apprentice: The sky really makes the lines of this photo really stand out. Gives it a 3-D feel. 6 |

AV-8Bby aboutimageComment by AlainD: nice idea and interesting subject, cold and powerful. the sky lacks a bit of interst though. I think I'd have included the whole silver nose in the composition. |

AV-8Bby aboutimageComment by jrtodd: Very nice, the position of the subject in the frame is great. The only small complaint I have is that you didn't take advantage of the full 150kb file size which may have cause a loss of detail. 7 |

In Chainsby aboutimageComment by SDW: OK I love military aircraft. Very nice shot capturing not only the harrier but a mood with the person on deck. I think the tone you choose fits well with this image. My dad was in the Air force and I had the opportunity to see a lot of aircraft and there is nothing like the rush of a F-15E's speed and the harrier ability to take off vertical or on a ramp. Great shot. Are you in the military? If so, or if you able to identify military aircraft PM me. I took a picture of what I though was a commercial aircraft at about 30,000 ft over my house and when I viewed it had two fighter jets next to it, one on each wing. The one on the right looks like a F-22 Raptor that is not in service yet. Possibly testing since I'm not but about 100 miles from Warner Robins AFB and only about 10 miles from Ft. Benning Army Base. Thailand Sunsetby aboutimageComment by aboutimage: Thanks for the great comments. Unfortunately, those dark corners appear to be CCD/lens irregularities on the Sony F707. If you zoom out a bit, you can tell there's a circular area of brightness. The white spot is a star. |

Indian Sunsetby aboutimageComment by aboutimage: The orange blog is a lamp and it's not distracting at all in full size (because you can tell what it is). At this small size, I can see how you would get "orange blob". I'd crop it out, but you'd lose the cool tree in the top left corner. I suppose I could selectively desaturate it? Food for thought, thank you. |
