This has great potential. What a great spot. I am partial to portraiture, so I may be a bit biased, but I think the thing missing here is a solitary figure of a person. What an excellent background for fashion photography or, as mentioned previously, a wedding shot. Just lovely.

It's hard to see an image as good as this at 136th place. When I see comments like 'I think this would have been stronger if the simian was actually the main subject of the photo' (no offence to Alienyst)I despair. It misses the whole point of such a beautiful, subtle, ARTISTIC image. I give up.

What makes this work for me is the moodiness of the tones - very well done. I would prefer a looser crop but I believe there is probably too much distracting background for that to work. Would love to find something like this out in the open! 8 good luck in the challenge!
