Nothing will spoil their dayby RiponladyComment by Strikeslip: The background is most interesting to me in this shot. I don't feel a connection to, or much interest in the subjects. I think I'd find this shot much more interesting if it were taken from a different angle than the usual eye-level. Maybe from low, looking up, which culd use the umbrella as half the background and the scenery as the other half, at an angle. |

1814by RiponladyComment by Jutilda: My only critique would be maybe a tad less shadowing on her face. She certainly depicts a moment in the time period you called it. I always like the subject to be a little off center, but since she takes up the entire shot, it doesn't affect the quality. Maybe give her a smidge more "headroom." |

1814by RiponladyComment by roadrunner: i really would've thought this would score higher.... it was certianly one of the best in the challenge.... i love everything in this photo... the look on the womans face.. the colours.. the hat.. and the way she seems to be 'pausing ' her work while she talks to the 'other' person... well done... i wouldn't have changed a thing.... and don't let other people tell you you should either.... Spot On here......
i wish other people would step out of the square a bit more and add their own 'personal' style to their work....
thanks again for doing 'your' work.... |

Nothing will spoil their dayby RiponladyComment by Jutilda: I'd like to crop out some of the people in the background and concentrate on the couple. You'd still see the glimmer of the water on the walkway. Nice urban shot. |
