IMG_4070.jpgby LKMoteComment by geoffb: Great timing, composition, colour, and contrast. I love the bumpy detail on the thing in the middle of the flower. I would've definitely given this a 9 or 10 in whatever you entered it in. |

s2007_6355.jpgby LKMoteComment by UNTITLED: That is one fine looking pony...that was me trying to pretend like I know what I'm talking about...yea, I know pretty poor job! Seriously though...very cute and I can't get over how long his(?) legs are. Is that the norm for ponies? |

Sousaphoneby LKMoteComment by Ivory: Very nice lines and highlights in the instrument. Wish the soldier had a bi more contrast to stand out more but I still think its a good capture. |

Old Ropeby LKMoteComment by violinist123: I like the post processing here. There is a lot going on in this shot. I think it would have benefited from being shot from a different angle and/or moving the ropes around so that there is more shadow play obvious to the eye. Composed like it is, it borders on being innundated with middle tone grays with a few oddly placed spots of black here and there. Would also like to see more contrast just to get the details on that post and within the rope itself to jump out. |

In the Mountainsby LKMoteComment by Artifacts: Nice capture and great color. The blue is exceptional and the brown tones very nice. If you could find some foreground cactus to add to the composition this would be a great image. (At this point I'd dip into my collection of cactus pictures and make a composite out of it)
Except for being a lot greener, this looks much like the terrain I saw where I was at. I can see an ocotillo up on the hill. The monsoon came on so strong that the desert started greening up a lot AFTER I got back. Rain works magic on the desert. It can turn things green in just a few days. It is an amazing transformation. As it was the desert saw fit to supply me with enough water to survive. - Steve |
