Timing: close to ideal, just a fraction sooner before the weight of the horse transfers to the forehand is better. Balanced evenly of for & hind legs is ideal or on one or both hind legs to give the appearance of lightness. While I prefer not to obscure the legs with the rail when possible I do like it when you include a letter since it adds to the story. Nice that the caller is in the backgroun too, could live without the shed looking thing of course. Backgroun is not ideal fur for a horse venue not that bad either. Horse is hollow in the back which defies "true" collection. Looks kinda squished into "frame". Hind leg is trailing a bit.

Timing, very good, just a fraction sooner is ideal, just before the leading foreleg is perfectly straight.
Better if you waited until it was in the arena so the rail would be on the other side of the horse.
Background, not the worst I've seen but could be much better. Try using a smaller DOF (f4) to help blur the background. Exposure, perfect! The horse itself (not under your control) hollow in the back, slightly heavy on the forehand. While in the popular idea of frame and looks pretty good in motion it's not true collection. (pics don't lie!!)

What a little show off!! She is also gorgeous. You get a lovely sense of power with the way her back legs are driving her forward and the slope in her back.

She looks like a ballerina, on her tippy toes, hey you could use her for Western Pleasure, just drop that head a tad and it would be perfect LOL.

Comment by Louis:
This is a great image with lots of interest in terms of composition and contrasts. The bokeh is a great complement to the textured ground; the highly structured squares of the fence form a great framing background for the legs. It seems to me even the shadows are well placed in this image. The slight grass tufts are a nice complementing frame between the ground and bokeh. Choice in duotone is pleasing. The subject is framed well. This is probably way too picky, but I see what looks like lens or curtain debris in the upper right corner, which could have been cloned out. Overall a great picture.
